The stunning Atlas butterfly, largest in the world, has no mouth and thus does not feed. It lives on the reserves stored during its caterpillar stage.
It has a rather short life and I’d think a slow, miserable death.
Remember encouraging your infant to smile, your crawler to walk, your babbler to speak?
Imagine expecting that child to thrive if your encouragement and approval stopped at the teen years, or the young adult years, or the adult years.
Imagine the confidence, the security and the joy of receiving parental approval and acceptance throughout life.
How much does it matter? Consider what you experienced from the significant adults in your life.
Lord, show me how to love and accept my child as You want each of us to be loved and accepted.
