True confessions.
In a world of hate/love for Marie Kondo’s organizational methods, her teachings intrigue me. Although I do not thank my clothes for their service and my book collection would cause her to run from the room screaming, I enjoy her show, read her book, and have incorporated some of her teachings.
My favorite part? Her attitude. “I love mess.” Finding wholehearted exuberance in what we believe/do is intriguing to others.
And I wonder how others perceive my living the scripture.
Does following our Lord’s teachings “spark joy” or reflect Eyore? Do you role model joy or resignation?
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand find to do, do it with all your heart as unto the Lord.
I am trying to find joy this week in reorganizing my linen closet!
Linda, so am I! And mine must be very organized because it is so tiny!
Some aspects of my life have become simpler as the number of my possessions has decreased. But then other life circumstances have taken up the slack! God is good anyhow!
Some of the items I’d love to edit out of my life are non-negotially (Is that a word?), necessary. I’m editing for several reasons. I like to organize, we anticipate a move within two years, and I don’t want to burden my children with so much “stuff” when we are gone. And yes, God is good!
